Finding Appropriate Harvest Policies for Admixed Fisheries to Ensure Long-Term Population Sustainability of Native Great Lake Fishes

Primary Investigators: Jim Bence
Funding Agency: Great Lakes Fishery Trust

This project began January 2013 and is slated to end December 2015, with Jim Bence and Travis Brenden as co-PIs, and is funded by the Great Lakes Fishery Trust. The project aims to evaluate alternative approaches to managing harvest of lake trout, lake whitefish and walleye, when reproductive stocks mix during the spawning season. The research plan includes using the HPCC for simulation work.
